The Tucson Botanical Gardens
The Tucson Botanical Gardens, TBG, are a staple of Tucson, especially for nature and plant lovers. They're community oriented and do so much local good for plants and people. They host events on their beautiful property and are an affordable wedding venue in Tucson. We had the pleasure of documenting a stunning, intimate wedding here last year!

There are a plethora of reasons that the TBG is one of our top venue choices. Beauty is the first and foremost. This location is bursting with life, vibrance, and color. It's great for smaller weddings- even with an intimate crowd, it is still full and lively. When it comes to your newly wed portraits, there is a great variety of locations to have many different wall worthy portraits. It's also very affordable and in a central location. If being close to nature is important to you while also having an accessibility friendly venue, this is the place to be. These are only a few reasons why this venue is a hidden gem!

Tasha + Werner
The First Look
Tasha prepared for over a year for this day. We took their engagement photos in the same place 13 months before the wedding. As plant lovers, this is the only route that made sense- surrounded by bright greens and colorful flowers exploring more botanicals than any other area of Tucson has to offer. As the day got closer, there was planning, meetings, getting healthy, and even more than one dress! It was all coming together.
Like most weddings, the getting ready process took a bit longer than planned. We always expect this though, so we took care of details and scouted the perfect first look location in a little nook of the garden. We walked her in and when Werner turned around it was like time stood still. He was enamored, of course he was, she looked marvelous. After this, we did some pre-ceremony portraits and just spent some time capturing them as they were, perfectly in love.
Sunset Ceremony
The ceremony was next. The music was beautiful, the guests were dressed exquisitely, and love was in there air. Everyone held their breath as Tasha walked down the aisle. They had a beautiful song performed by her family member, the cutest flower girls, custom ring boxes that looked like tree stumps, and a bell ringer!
Vows of love and commitment were exchanged and Werner kissed the bride! The audience cheered and clapped as they walked down the aisle. It was an unforgettable moment. Capturing memories like these is why we do what we do.
Party in the Garden
As with the rest of their event, Tasha and Werner put on a party! They had a fantastic DJ with a great line up of tunes, lively guests, delicious cocktails, and so much dancing. The TBG has the perfect sized dance floor to help everyone feel welcome and reduce any awkward feelings about getting your groove on. Everyone participated in dances like the cupid shuffle and played some of the fun games they had planed.
Weddings like Tasha and Werners are always the best. A fun and exciting yet chill and laid back couple who are madly in love, know how to party, and turn it up for their photos? We couldn't ask for more. They had great taste when it came to their styling and other choices, and made a specific choice to support local. This was a wedding for the books!
